Policies for Memory Foam Mattresses

Shipping Policy for Compressed Items Only
All shipments are curbside delivery only. No white glove service. Due to the large and heavy packages being shipped, please anticipate 3-10 business days for receiving a mattress order. We only ship to the Continental US. We do not deliver to APO/FPO addresses, or P.O. Boxes. If you are in a rural area/if your area needs special instructions, there may be a delay. Signatures are only required for mattress deliveries. If no one is home at the time of delivery, they will leave a note and try again the next business day. After 3 attempts, the item will be returned and the customer will receive a refund of the item amount only.

Please, thoroughly inspect your shipment before signing the waybill clear. If damaged from shipping- please REFUSE the package, contact us via email, and we will ship you out a replacement. If damage is minor and acceptable please note the extent of the damage on the waybill along with your signature. If the damage is cosmetic (i.e. packaging torn, cover dirty/torn, base foam dirty/torn, please accept the package and contact us. We will request photos of the damage and ship you out a new cover to replace the damaged one. MeritMart is not responsible for packages once they have been delivered and signed for.

The freight company is not obligated to go inside the house due to insurance proposes. Due to the large and heavy packages being shipped, please anticipate 3-14 business days for receiving a mattress order. If you are in a rural area / if your area needs special instructions, there may be a delay.

The freight company will call you as soon as they enter the local terminal to schedule a delivery appointment. Please wait for this call from the freight company before making any arrangements or taking any days off work to accept delivery.

Pick up Policy
Only mattresses are allowed for pick ups and are on a pre-paid basis. Pickups are by appointment exclusively within the hours of 9 am – 3 pm, Tuesday – Thursday. There is a pickup fee of $20.00 per mattress. Please provide your own supplies to tie down your mattress (i.e., ropes, bungee cords, etc.). Sleep Shop is not responsible for damages that may occur during transit once the item(s) has left our warehouse. For liability reasons, customers are not permitted inside the warehouse. Please call us at 800-721-4893 to make a pick up appointment.

Return Policy
You can return the item(s)** for any reason as long as we receive it with in 90 days from the purchase date. It must be in good-clean condition, you must have a receipt, and the customer is responsible for all freight and shipping costs. Customer is at liberty to use any means to ship back to us. All returns must be delivered to us before the 90 days, if it exceeds your time limit, your return will be refused. The warehouse will inspect the returned item and you will receive a check in the mail for the entire item amount only. Please contact us for the return shipping address.

**Pillow(s) Return Policy
Pillow(s) can only be returned if they are found to have shipping damages. If noticed at delivery the package should be refused and returned so we may send a replacement. For instances other than shipping damages, pillows are not returnable.

Warranty Terms and Conditions

Covered Products
The manufacturer of your new visco elastic memory foam mattress, guarantees that your mattress will be replaced or repaired, at our option without cost to you, except for incoming and outgoing freight charges, should it be deemed defective because of faulty workmanship or structural defects during the 10 year warranty period from the time of purchase to the original purchaser; excluding the specific limitations contained herein.

Claim Limitations
It is understood that the limited warranty does not include normal increase in softness of the mattress or a decrease in the slow recover feature of the foam materials. This limited warranty does cover deterioration of the cell structure within the memory foam that causes the mattress to have visible indention greater than 1 ½ inches, not associated with a sag in the foundation or platform. If the covered effects occur as determined by the manufacturer, at our option, we will repair or replace the mattress, less the shipping and handling charges. The mattress is designed to work with a firm foundation or platform, and not using one with this mattress may void the warranty. You may be asked to send proof as to the quality of the platform or foundation that has been used with the mattress.

Coverage Period
Claims should be filed within 10 years with the original retailer, who will make the first inspection prior to any action taken by the manfufacturer. Warranty claims are valid only with a receipt.
Please be assured that quality is our priority , and we are confident that you will enjoy the sleep experience of your memory foam mattress, for years to come.

Exclusions
The cloth cover that is provided with the mattress has no warranty attached to it and it is recommended that it be kept clean by using a mattress pad or cover. If a mattress is inspected and is soiled with body fluids, any types of liquids or chemical products, excess dirt, burn marks, has been abused, damaged, or has evidence of other foreign materials, this will void the warranty.


Policies for Powell Furniture

Return/Damage procedure

  • All damages /defects must be reported to MeritMart no later than 10 days from the date delivered to the customer. If not reported on time no credit will be issued because Powell Furniture will not be able to file a claim with the carrier.
  • Pictures are required on all items that are being reported defective before we can move forward.
  • RA's to return are only issued on items that ship by truck, but we also be issuing RA's to destroy on items that are severely damage, based on the value and the freight that will be charged to return it back.
  • If an RA to destroy is issued, a copy of the RA will be forward to your company as well as our accounting department for credit.
  • If an RA to return is issued, then no credit can be issued until the damaged freight has been picked up from the customer and returned to the Powell Furniture warehouse.

DO NOT THROW AWAY THE ORIGINAL BOXES IF MERCHANDISE ARRIVES DAMAGED. NO PICK UP OR CLAIM CAN BE MADE WITHOUT ORIGINAL PACKAGING/BOXES, THEREFORE NO CREDIT CAN BE ISSUED.
 
Customer Remorse

  • All returns on undamaged/unopened product must be reported no later than 20 days from the day delivered in order for us to pick it up.
  • If not reported within 20 days from the day delivered, no pick up can be scheduled.
  • All Powell items returned for other reasons than damaged item will be assessed a 15% restocking fee. Customer is responsible for all shipping/freight costs. Contact us for authorization and return address.
